Sheri Tepper ist eine amerikanische Autorin von SF-, Horror- und Mysteryromanen. Ihre Werke transportieren oft ökologische und feministische Botschaften. Ihre bei der Kritik angesehensten Romane sind wahrscheinlich The Gate to Women's Country (1988) sowie Grass (1989).
Tepper wurde am 16. Juli 1929 in Littleton, Colorado, geboren. Sie hat zwei Töchter und ist mit Gene Tepper verheiratet. Zurzeit führt sie eine Gästeranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Im 'normalen' Berufsleben arbeitete die Autorin von 1962-86 für die Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood, deren Direktorin sie schließlich wurde.
